A group of concerned alumni and parents worked with West Central Initiative to form the foundation to “serve as a bridge” between the School District and the entire Underwood Community and to foster and fund innovative, effective programs. The Advisory Committee includes representation from alumni, school board, current faculty, former faculty and parents. The committee members believe that Underwood has an advantage because of caring parents, involved community members, alumni and businesses. The Advisory Committee further believes that with generous support of alumni, parents, local businesses and organizations, we can not only maintain, but enhance the educational opportunities for Underwood students and the community as a whole. |

The Underwood Education / Community Foundation includes three sub-accounts. Donations can be designated to a particular fund. If no designation is made, the funds will be added to the Universal Fund. Universal Fund The Universal Fund gives the Advisory Committee the most flexibility in designating funds to provide money where it is needed most. Education Fund Donations to this fund will help provide students with the very best in class room curriculum and provide scholarship opportunities for Underwood graduates. Community Fund The unique partnership of Education and Community as cornerstones in this foundation will allow use of monies from this fund for projects and programs beneficial to the entire community of Underwood. |
